WE KNOW THAT FEEL.
We basically just sat down and wrote all the dark Willow ep limericks in one sitting and were like, “Welp, now we never have to do that again.”
(That also means that we’ll finally be putting S6 to bed over the next week and can move on with the show. I love S6, but we’ve been living in the darkest timeline for months now.)
Awkward iPhone photos of Tessa and me as Shore Leave!Kirk and Trouble with Tribbles!Kirk.
(It’s not obvious, but, yes, that is a Tribble skirt.)
Oh hey I got too impatient to wait for good pics, so here are the promised cosplay photos. Every pic is a good pic when you’re star trekkin’ across the universe, on the Starship Enterprise, dressed as Captain Kirk.
We have been Star Trek conventioning and doing homework and…misplacing our finished limericks…this week, but an update is coming soon, as well as epic Star Trek cosplay photos for those of you who like such things.
Hahaha, and then my computer mysteriously died, taking my photoshop and limerick template (not to mention a bunch of research and my library school homework) (yes I had literally zero days off between graduate programs let’s not talk about it) with it.
In a couple days my laptop should be back as good as new (I think something got lodged in the fan; nothing wrong with the hard drive, knock on wood) and there will be another limerick then.
There will be a new limerick on Tuesday, and we should be able to get back to our semi-regular schedule of 2-3 limericks a week after that! Thanks for your patience through the last couple months of summer school and dissertation and back to school and starting another Master’s program and, recently, recovering from the plague.
In unrelated news, I got to watch a nice chunk of season two last night with a friend who is watching the show for the first time, and her reaction when she realized Oz was the werewolf was maybe the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I was so thoroughly spoiled when I saw the show for the first time that I didn’t have many moments like that. What was your biggest shocker when you watched Buffy for the first time?
As of three hours ago my time, my BABY SISTER is 18! She still has two hours to go her time, but why wait?
So, happy birthday, Waffles! You are amazing, and the best co-blogger a sister could have! I am so glad I forced you to entertain me with limericks that one day at the beach and that it spawned this whole enterprise.
(If any of you felt inclined to send her some birthday cheer — she just started mainlining Merlin and I’m sure she would be pleased to accept it in the form of fic or vid recommendations dropped in the ask box. :DDD)
Good news for followers who like Doctor Who!
Since an unfortunate combination of physical distance and real life responsibility has rendered Tafadhali and myself rather… unproductive, limerick-wise, I thought I (as the one not currently writing a 40 page paper) would make some graphics for the Doctor Who character limericks we wrote, like, two years ago. I hope, for the Whovians among you, this will entertain you for a while while our Buffy Limericks are coming out slower than usual. For the rest of you, thanks again for your continued patience, and we should be back on schedule within the next couple weeks.
Posted to the wrong account! Oops!
Technically, every day here is an open ask day — if you ask, we will probably answer. But I am especially bored right now and would like to focus on anything but the work I need to do, so… consider this an open ask day. As in, anything you want to know, whether it’s about Buffy or limericks or my childhood or our opinions on Shakespeare or whatever.
Please distract me from my writer’s block/insomnia.
My little sister is much awesomer than me and much better about writing to schedule, buuuut sadly it’s my episode.
Sorry, y’all, I’m trying but this has been a really. bad. week. and I feel like my brain is bleeding when I try and make words rhyme.
How are you all doing? Seen any good movies lately?
TWO THINGS, AMAZING PEOPLE:
1) We have to ask your patience for the next month and a bit, while Waffles does a bunch of awesome summer classes and I am completely consumed by my Master’s dissertation (pages read: thousands; pages written: 0/40) and we are tragically separated by the Atlantic Ocean. We have re-watched all of season six, but a lot of time went into writing ONCE MORE WITH FEELINGS and so we are still catching up on our other limericks. Hopefully we will get back to posting ~twice a week tomorrow-ish.
2) Not going to lie, we’re pretty excited that our most time consuming post has finally overtaken our least time consuming post in notes. (By one note. BAM.)
